The client, Kevin Norman, head coach of the Redondo Union High School Boys Volleyball team, approached me with a request to revamp their existing website. While the site already served as a hub for team information, it lacked the modern design and functionality that could truly represent the excellence of the RUHS volleyball program. Coach Norman wanted a platform that could showcase the team’s achievements, roster, schedule, and updates — all in a way that was visually appealing and easy to navigate for parents, players, and coaches.

The existing website was outdated, both in design and user experience. Visually, it didn’t reflect the dynamic, competitive spirit of the RUHS Boys Volleyball program. Functionally, navigation was clunky, and information was not as accessible as it could be. The challenge was to transform the site into an aesthetically pleasing, mobile-friendly, and user-focused platform that still retained all the essential information — while being easy for the coaching staff to update.

The primary goal was to create a clean, modern, and accessible website that would serve as a central hub for everything related to RUHS Boys Volleyball. This meant:

• Showcasing team achievements and history

• Displaying current rosters, schedules, and results

• Providing quick access to essential information for parents, players, and coaches

• Making it visually appealing with updated graphics, a consistent color scheme, and school branding

• Ensuring mobile responsiveness so the site works seamlessly on any device

The finished product now acts as a professional, engaging online home for the RUHS Boys Volleyball program — a place where the community can stay connected and proud of their team.
